I study both Architecture and Robotics, and to bring the distinct ways of thinking from each field into the other.
I explore how seriousness can loosen, how monuments can become playful, and how familiar forms can feel newly strange.
I am drawn to rules we set ourselves or by the elements not to preserve them entirely, but to nudge them into moments of delight, surprise, and absurdity.

Vertical Carousel
Spring 2025 Option Studio, Carnegie Mellon University
- Location: Downtown, Pittsburgh, U.S.
- Advisor: Jared Abraham, Claire Laux
DESCRIPTION
Gulf Tower is one of downtown Pittsburgh’s most recognizable Art Deco skyscrapers, yet it has stood vacant for years. Instead of treating it as a static relic, I reimagine it as an unexpected hybrid. A carousel is partially inserted into the building, creating a dynamic relationship between the tower, the river, and a stack of vertical galleries within. Along the north facade, artist studios replace the once-sealed surface, bringing everyday creative life into the structure and transforming a dormant elevation into an active, inhabited one.
