Carnegie Mellon University  B.Arch + Robotics 28’

I study both Architecture and Robotics, and to bring the distinct ways of thinking from each field into the other.

I explore how seriousness can loosen, how monuments can become playful, and how familiar forms can feel newly strange.

I am drawn to rules we set ourselves or by the elements not to preserve them entirely,  but to nudge them into moments of delight, surprise, and absurdity.

DESCRIPTION

Falling for You is situated in a hallway—a transitional space where people briefly cross paths and share momentary interactions. In this setting stands a small, friendly-looking dancing robot that appears eager for human attention. Its movements convey a warm, inviting personality, performing for anyone who happens to pass by.
When someone approaches, the robot dances, then suddenly falls helplessly, relying on human assistance to be lifted back up. Once the participant responds—by helping or choosing not to help—the robot delivers a simple judgement through its inflatable arms: a thumbs-up or thumbs-down.
